Basma is a self-taught visual artist from Jordan. Her work is known to be colorful and full of emotion. Balance is her favorite word, something she immensely enjoys composing in her work.

Starting off her career in the field of design, Basma’s shift towards the visual arts was a journey or self-discovery and instinctive exploration. During which she managed to work on projects in the fields of furniture design, pattern design and interior design.

Classical music, philosophy and nature are among Basma’s favorite things.

Basma currently resides in the US with her husband Yazan Khalifeh, who is the illustrator also known as YAZKAL.
